Our visitors were very impressed with all the hard work taking place at Freedom School (as they should be): the efforts and dedication of both teachers and students, our focus on standards-based instruction and learning, collaboration, flexible grouping and extensive use of data. It is always gratifying when we can share the fruits of our labors with others, and especially when our state and local education leaders stop and take notice. They loved what they saw in the classrooms: the students are proud of their class, their work, and know what they are learning. This visit was 100% successful. Thank you all for your contributions to this effort, everyone who is working at Freedom today, the teachers whose classrooms were visited, and those who gave up their library time and parking spaces. This is truly a group effort.
